Print of Shandong People(a high school Chinese compulsory textbook published by Shandong People Press), one of the earliest teaching materials based on the new curriculum standards, which reflects the new features of Chinese textbooks compiled after the new curriculum reform, is representative to some extent. Taking active learning theory from the new curriculum standards as its foundation, this textbook has experienced a bold attempt and formed the characteristic of "activity". The textbook has formed its structure system and unit content, following the compiling aim of "to learn in activity, to develop in activity" and the guide of Chinese learning activities. It aims at changing students’learning styles, helping them to master Chinese knowledge and increase Chinese literacy, and thus making Chinese learning entering their life sphere.This thesis takes the Print of Shandong People as a study object. I plan to take its ’activity’compiling as a point cut. Based on the’activity’learning theory of the new curriculum standards, I try to objectively examine its’activity’ compiling. In the meantime, I will focus on practical issues and come up with some suggestions. I wish the new curriculum theory will not only flourish in theory but also bear fruit in practice. I also wish my study would be beneficial to high school Chinese teaching.This thesis is composed of three parts:introduction, text and conclusion.The introduction is composed of three parts. Firstly, I will illustrate the reason of topic selection and research design. Secondly, I will introduce the relative research situation, hoping it will help to write this thesis. Thirdly, I will give a brief introduction of the study method. The text is composed of four parts. The first chapter provides a theory foundation for the’activity’in the Print of Shandong People. Meanwhile, I will analyze the "activity" of other high school Chinese textbooks based on the new curriculum, and highlight the "activity" characteristic of Print of Shandong People. The second chapter will analyze its "activity" characteristics and disadvantages and come up with some improvement strategies. The third chapter will study its practical using situation. The fourth chapter is "The practical route of ’activity’. I will make some suggestions and try to give a "activity learning" design of Getting closer to Confucius.The conclusion is a summary of the whole text.
