Malaysian Chinese independent school is kind of the Private Chinese school that is not be able to receive any education allowance from the Malaysian government. Although it has been excluded from the national mainstream system in a long time, Chinese independent school has become the most successful Chinese education system among the oversea countries due to their well-development. Thus, it is important for us to explore the successful experiences and the benefits of social capital in creation of school funds. Moreover, the results of this research can also provide a great significance of reference for those private schools in Malaysia.In this study, one of the main Chinese school (S school) in Malaysia had been chosen to become the major research point. In order to analyze series of strategies that utilized by the school for funds raising, and the benefits that created by successful and efficient use of school social capital, field survey, school data compilation and semi-structured interviews were the major methodology in this study.From the perspective of resource dependence theory, the changes of education environment is the main reason that causes the S school highly depend on its external environment, this situation stimulate the ability of the school to mobilize their external social networks for school funds. In the research of the dynamic and the ability of the school board, we found that the main function of organized school board is strongly connect to the school external environment. Most of the school board members are in high social status and have more social identity, social networks are large in scale, and these possess the advantages of school social capital. In the research of external transverse social network connection, the school board works close together alumni association and parents association to forms a triangle-interaction-relationship. The social networks of two different organizations contain different resources, this has improved the deficiency of school social capital and increase the quality of school social capital. In dealing with the relations of the government, the board has adopted four main ways to obtain the system resources that offered by the government.In the summary of the efficient use of social capital in school fund raising, we considered that the successful construction of external social networks not only broadens the school funding channels, but also enhanced the capacity to support the school industry. Furthermore, the successful development of school brand effect helps the school to gain the reputation from both government and the community, this further draw in more donations into the school and also strongly improve the quality of school education.
