Teaching 3-5 year children English as the second language in China is not the typical represent. It is difference from school teaching and general interesting teaching in kindergarten. It is on the basis of development of children’s mother language. The target is that children can use simple English for communication in daily life and get the English thinking. One of the methods is making them get ineresting in studying. The present situation there are some study on young children’s English learning, but they mainly are on the surface describing, lacking of in-depth study. Children’s English learning and development is a dynamic process, and this study tries to explore the influence of families and schools for children’s English education,to find the current situation of the four dimentiona which are learningcontent, learning approaches, learning methods and learning materials in order to enrich children’s English learning theory and provide theoretical guidance for children’s English education.This study adopted questionnaire survey. The investigation from 210 children aged 3-5 years were randomly selected from Shenyang city children’s English language training institutions in the parents and teachers, recycling effective questionnaire 203. Using SPSS17 to the effective questionnaire results of statistical analysis, statistics on the two aspects of family and training institutions, and the relationship between the four dimensions of learning by correlation analysis.The study draws the present situation of the children in English learning: 1.The children can not master the learning content of English class, unable to use learned English for communication, it will be difficult to establish contact with English knowledge learned in the classroom side of things; 2.Family as the way by which children learn English deficiencies, and many parents often neglect their children’s education in English, it will inevitably lead to children for learning English just to cope with something; 3.Children’s English learning method is inappropriate, and most children can not establish a scientific learning methods; 4.Video, software and other auxiliary learning materials to be abused, and many children can not adapt to the software, multimedia teaching, but their teachers and parents rely on these supplementary learning materials.Therefore we propose the following solution: 1.Communication is outstanding from the children English learning content; 2.Selecting and editing of teaching materials fit little English study characteristic; 3.The close combination of classroom education and family education is needed; 4.Enhance teachers’ teaching quality and teaching ability. 5.Enhance children’s English teaching scientific research.
