The homework design of the ideological and political course is an important element in teaching, also a compulsory technique which teachers of the ideological and political course must equip. The ideological content and scientificalness of homework design both determine the quality of homework design, and affect the realization of the teaching goal of the ideological and political course. They affect both the professional development of teachers and the improvement of the quality of students. Therefore, homework design occupies an important position in the whole process of ideological and political teaching. In the process of homework design in ideological and political teaching, there exists problems such as superficial conception, lack of ideological, scientifical and artistic content. In view of the problems in homework design of the ideological and political course, according to the existing materials and literature, this thesis combines the experience and insights of education practice and carries on the preliminary discussion around the basic question-how to design the homework of the ideological and political course.The whole thesis is divided into the following sections:The first part expounds the connotation, puts forward the characteristics of the homework design of the ideological and political course, and the necessity of the ideological and political course homework design. The second part is the concrete analysis of the existing problems in the current ideological and political course homework design:the phenomenon of ignoring homework design which still exists in the practice of teaching, overrelying on existing homework resources, teachers’lack of their own ability to participate in homework design, the randomness and low quality of homework design. The third part puts forward the plan of the optimization of homework design of ideological and political course:first, put forward the principles of homework design in ideological and political course which insist adhering to life, adhering to students, the situation principle, the hierarchy principle, and the principle of openness. Secondly, combined with the practical exploration, this part puts forward solutions to the problems existing in homework design of ideological and political course, to fully realize the important value to homework design and correctly handle the relationship between homework design and existing resources, and to improve the ability of teachers to design homework of ideological and political course, enhance the scientific design of homework.The fourth part, according to the inquiry results of homework design, designs a homework case and analyzes it, using examples to illustrate the urgency and pressing sense of homework design of the ideological and political course.The purpose of this thesis is to make homework design adapt to and connect closely with the requirements of the new curriculum reform of teaching, and to design the homework which adapts to the development of students’ individuality. I believe everyone in the first line of work of Ideological and political teachers have different understanding on this subject, therefore the research on it still need educators to proceed and perfect in the teaching practice.
