Over the past three decades, higher vocational education in China has undergone three stages of exploration, establishment and rapid development. Now it has been on the track of rapid development. Along with the students resource decreasing and the competition of education market increasing, it has been a big question how the quality colleges and universities improve their competitiveness through the brand construction.This paper studies the definition and connotation of brand and brand construction as well as related theories concerning higher learning institutions, and describes the necessity of the theoretical progress of brand construction, development history and brand implementation in the Higher Vocational Colleges.This paper, taking Qingdao Technical College as an example from9aspects, introduces the implementation and achievements in brand construction, points out problems existing in the brand construction, and analyzes the necessity and feasibility of brand construction in Qingdao Technical College. And the implementation plan of the strategy of the college is formed.By summarizing and analyzing the related theories of brand building and brand building of Qingdao Technical College, this paper puts forward that the process, implementation and the existing problems of brand building, especially for the higher vocational school, which will have a good reference for other Higher Vocational Colleges.
