Starting from the autumn of2004, the teaching materials based on the newcurriculum standards has been piloted in some provinces and cities. By today, tenyears have passed. With the further development of curriculum reform, teachingmaterials are constantly improved.Since the publication in2004, ECONOMIC LIFE has been revised several times.In the December of2012, it is witnessed a major revision according to the spirit of theEighteenth Commission of Chinese Communist Party. This paper studies the teachingmaterial ECONOMIC LIFE which was published in2008and2013by People’sEducation Press. Studying the changes and teaching countermeasures to them canhelp teachers more accurately grasp the content of teaching materials and establishcorrect view on teaching material, as well as is of important significance in promotingteaching reform.The changes of ECONOMIC LIFE(2013Edition) are enormous so as toimplement the spirit of the Eighteenth Commission of Chinese Communist Party andreduce the study burden of students in the context of comprehensively promoting ofquality education. And the changes also fully reflect the nature of the course ofideological and political class.The changes of ECONOMIC LIFE lie in the following three fields: theoreticalupdate, material update and rivising for improvement. Theoretical update mainlyconcerns with the contents which relate to the spirit of the Eighteenth Commission ofChinese Communist Party, the deletion of some knowledge which are not importantand hard to understand. Material update mainly concerns with contents adjustment,changing, deletion and adding. Rivising for improvement includes the revising ofsome arguments which are not reasonable and the polishing of some words. It pointsout the specific changes from the macro view and the reasons for the changes fromthe microscopic view, providing theoretical basis for accurately grasping materialchanges. The teaching countermeasures to the changes of teaching material cover fouraspects. Firstly, elaborating the spirit of the Eighteenth Commission of ChineseCommunist Party and accurately grasp the route, policy of Chinese Communist PartySecondly, properly deal with renewing parts and deleting parts of the teachingmaterials. Thirdly, keep pace with the times, supplement and improve the content ofteaching materials. Fourthly, it needs to teach according to the students’ life and study.
