Linyi Junior Middle School Education Research: 1928-1937

Modern education system in our country began in the New Deal reform period of the late Qing, and the changes of in Late Qing dynasty is the component of modern Chinese social change and Chinese modernization.China’s primary education and secondary education was introduced into China following the modern education system. Shandong Provincial Government was established in Taian in 1928, and the government made a series of changes for the education system at that time, which made the education of Shandong in the period of the Republic of China developed well. Changes of primary education and secondary education in Linyi, Shandong before Anti-Japanese War, to a great extent, reflected the progress of Chinese education modernization. The progress is the overall progressive, but the low enrollment rate of school-age children, the high dropout rate of student, the low graduation rate is low and the shortage of education funds were common of primary education and secondary education before Anti-Japanese War in Linyi and these kinds of common phenomenons might exist in many parts of the country at that time.According to a large number of historical data of education during the period of the Republic of China, this paper analyzes the education institution evolution in Linyi and the development and changes of the teaching staff, funding, and so on in detail. The paper also reflects the relationship between the primary education and secondary education and the politic and economy and the detailed development conditions of the primary education and secondary education of the Republic of China in Linyi and then further illustrates the advance and disadvantages of the education in Linyi. The current primary education and secondary school education reform in our country should consult to the primary education and secondary education and management system during the period of the Republic of China to promote education reform and development of our country.
