A Study On The Cenozoic Migrant Workers' Urban Adaptation And Adult Education

The new generation of migrant workers, born after 1980 s, has been playing an increasingly important role in the urbanization process. Although the new generation of migrant workers enters cities as farmers, they’re hardly engaged in agricultural activities.They spent their childhoodat school, and work in the city after graduation. With the continuous improvement of quality of life, after the new generation of migrant workers has met their survival needs, they shifted to focus the adaption to the city and pursuit to a higher level of psychological and cultural adaptation. On account of the fact that our country is in a critical period of social transformation, the new generation of migrant workers’ integration with the urban society is not ideal. A series of problems still exist in the process of the adaptation to cities.This study select Beijing, Shandong, Zhejiang and Guangzhou as the study, research the new generation of migrant workers’ adaptation to the city and put forward solution strategy from the perspective of adult education. This study researches mainly around four questions: Firstly, the analysis of the status of the new generation of migrant workers to adapt to of the city. By collecting the relevant literature of the new generation of migrant workers to adapt to the city, design interview outline, based on interviews with field observations, the new generation of migrant workers from the economic, social, psychological, cultural city four levels to adapt to the current situation analysis. Secondly, based on the analysis of the status of new generation of migrant workers adapting to the city, generally interpret the individual cases from the perspective of adult education. Make and conclusion that adult education can improve income, broaden interpersonal relationships, increase identity, and improve the adaption to the city cultural. Thirdly, put forward strategies from economic, social, psychological and culture aspects, such as strengthen vocational skills education, increasing the peasant education, emphasis on values education, carry out the cultural quality education solutions.
