Mainland China and China Taiwan speak the same language and share the same culture at all times. Thus they have a lot of similarities in the selection and arrangement of Chinese teaching materials. Of course, the two still have a lot of difference, especially reflected in the details.This pape make the mainland PEP and Taiwan Kangxuan seventh grade language textbook as an example. It compares and analysises three main aspects, concept compiling style and materials. Presented in detail at the similarities and differences of the two language teaching materials, this makes their respective advantages and disadvantages clear. And in thinking among the enlightened, this can be used as reference materials writers.In the introduction section,combing analysis recent cross-strait high school textbooks and literature, the research method is determined. The core concept is also defined. Where language teaching materials mentioned in the paper are specifically refers to the language textbooks.Comparing the Chinese mainland and China Taiwan textbooks written philosophy, the authors found that the mainland "standard" materials recommended a more macroscopic Weaker referentia, Taiwan "Outline" textbook selection and design of principal are easier to operate.Contrast from the textbook the Britannica,unit text compiling style of Kangxuan and PEP textbooks, it can be found that PEP pay more attention to the design of the unit combination integrated practice, Kangxuan conducive more to the preparation of the text style of independent learning, and Kangxuan textbook interesting and vivid graphic design is also stronger.Comparing selected text system and knowledge both of the two versions of textbook content, it can be found PEP selected text with more capacity,but Kangxuan is less and more refinement. PEP dilute knowledge, emphasis on capacity. The Kangxuan language knowledge is more systematic and complete.Comparing between the Chinese mainland and China Taiwan Chinese textbooks, their respective advantages and disadvantages are found. This can suggest amendments to the compilation of teaching materials for future.Language teaching materials is a carrier of language education goals.It is an important teaching resource. It is necessary to continue improving students’ learning to adapt the development and changes in the teaching situation needs. Comparing between the Chinese mainland and China Taiwan Chinese textbooks, their advantages and disadvantages are found. This is certainly beneficial to the promotion of the interactive development of cross-strait language education. In comparison, mainland Chinese can learn from China Taiwan, making itself more perfect and improve, and achieving the target of textbook reform.
