With the rapid development of science and technology, a person of single abilityhas been difficult to adapt to the needs of society, the employing unit needs the peoplewho has comprehensive ability. It is proved that the traditional teaching method isappeared to be inadequate for cultivating students’comprehensive ability, therefore, tocultivate the student’s overall quality and sustainable development ability,teachersmust reform and innovation teaching method in every possible way.Action-oriented teaching method originated from “Double System”teaching ofGermany,it is recognized as one of the advanced occupation education teachingmethods in the world.It advocates" the students as the center, cultivating the studentsability as the target ". In the process of teaching, the teacher guides the students studywith the brain, heart and hands through a variety of activities, making the studentsinterested in learning, training student’s creative thinking, form the key ability.This paper bases on a lot of reading, combines with the questionnaire survey instudents and teachers and the connotation of action-oriented teaching method, thisarticle discusses the using of action-oriented teaching method in chemistry teachingand puts forward some personal opinions. And then the author poses specific meanson how to use action-oriented teaching method through the typical teaching cases. Byanalysing the test result and the questionnaire survey, the author find that after usingaction-oriented teaching method, the students’ learning interest, social skills,communication skills and so on are improved. It turns out the using of action-orientedteaching method is feasible in occupation high school chemistry teaching.
