With the development of economic and culture in China, we have more necessities to communicate with foreigners and more opportunities to cooperation with other countries. English as a very important communicational language, you, as human beings in new century, must be capable of using English. Under the environment in our country and in the world, the kindergarten English education in China has developed fast. In order to have high quality and scientific kindergarten English education, we should let the English teachers who teach English in the kindergarten have high quality. So this thesis is focused on the English teachers, who teach English in the kindergarten, come from Xi’an. The paper, based on "Kindergarten teachers’ professional standards", mainly discussed the present situation of the Kindergarten English teachers who come from Xi’an, which will help to find out insufficient competences in professionalism and the reasons for these results. At last, based on "Kindergarten teachers’ professional standards", it will propose some reasonable suggestions to increase the professionalism of Kindergarten English teachers in Xi’an.This study used questionnaires, interviews, document analysis to analyze the status of Xi’an Kindergarten English teachers’ professionalism. The mainly content will be the basic information of Kindergarten English teachers, the education literacy of the Kindergarten English teachers including professional philosophy and ethics, professional knowledge and professional competence, the English literacy of Kindergarten English teacher including English professional knowledge, professional competence in English, English linguistics and teaching methods and training necessities of Kindergarten English teachers.The survey also found that the basic situation of kindergarten English teachers is uneven distributed, there are obvious difference in the professional knowledge capacity, the research capacity and English language literacy.It is the same that there are fewer opportunities for kindergarten English teachers’training and the training is relatively single, Kindergarten English teachers need to improve professional knowledge, and professional competence. Focus on the problems in the survey, it proposed reasonable recommendations to promote the professional development of Kindergarten English teachers’ Professional development, including Kindergarten English teachers’ personal professional growth plan, perfect in Kindergarten management systems, combine education with parents to foster children’s English learning interests.The significance of this study is that this paper focused on the newly enacted "Kindergarten teachers’ professional standards" to explore kindergarten English teachers’ professional standards, which will rich Kindergarten English teachers’ meaning of literacy. This paper is a research about Literacy in Xi’an kindergarten English teachers. The thesis analyzed the factors that impacted on Xi’an Kindergarten English teachers and made recommendations for these problems, which will be beneficial for Xi’an Kindergarten English teachers and will help them to promote professionalism. And which will help children to have scientific Kindergarten English education and promote the comprehensive development of children.
