Investigation On The Current Situation Of Basketball Referees Training System In Jiangsu Province And The Countermeasures

Referee is an important part of basketball game, whose quality and judgment level have a vital influence on the game. So the training of the referee also affects the development of basketball. With the continuous development of Jiang Su province’s basketball sport, increasing exchange of our team with abroad and domestic basketball club, enhancement of competition, the training of basketball referee is increasingly important. The training of referee is not so satisfied in Jiang Su nowadays, because there are many problems restrict the training of basketball referee in Jiangsu province.To analyze the training procedure objectively and accurately, factors influencing the development of it and construct the training system that suitable for Jiang Su,the methods were taken, which were the literature retrieving, questionnaire survey, interview, mathematical statistics, and through three aspects like the logical analysis of the referee basic situation, learning and developing situation and the work situation.This article carries an investigation and analysis about the present situation of Jiangsu province basketball referee training. At the same time, we build a set of basketball referee training system based on the foreign successful experience of the referee training and the current situation in Jiangsu province by analyzing the factors that confine the training framework thoroughly, objectively and accurately.The following conclusion was based on the research work:1. The referees, who graduated from the university, in Jiangsu province are mainly between20to44years old. The primary training of referees is mainlyat colleges and universities. So colleges play an important role in the referees’training. The first level of basketball referees are trained and assessed by Jiangsu province sports bureau. Municipal sports bureau and the basketball association are responsible for the three and second class referees’evaluation and training.2. The team of basketball referee in Jiangsu province has some problems, such as regional unbalanced development, gender imbalance, unreasonable structure of referees, and the first level of referees takes a big part, but professional referees have a smaller proportion. The senior referee cannot be replenished. Their English and computer application should be strengthening. Referee selection system is not perfect. The referee training cycle is too long. There is little training, the period is short, but the training form is unitary. Evaluation system is imperfect; evaluation form is simple. The cultivation of the college student referees in Jiangsu province sports is lack of strength.3. According to the current problems of basketball referees team and their training, we should develop a specific system for the training of basketball referees in Jiangsu province. We could build in referee training system through the cooperationbetween Jiangsu province sports bureau and universities in Jiangsu province. The establishment of the training system is important for making basketball referee team younger, equalization and the improvement of the overall level of referee.
