The creativity and the problem solution are the two of the hot points of educational researches. The model of creative problem solving is a good combination of the two. And the students’consciousness about creativity and the ability of solving all kinds of problems will be advanced effectively if the teachers can connect teaching with the model of CPS. The model came of brain storming and researches on the model are still very few so far. The article discussed the origin, the meaning, the characteristics about the model through studying other researchers’relevant studies at home and abroad and some website resource. The article summarized a few strategies on the combination of the CPS and teaching:the teachers should select some parts of the teaching materials which are in contact with the real life. They also should lay emphasis on divergent thinking and convergent thinking and the subjectivity of students. They should develop group cooperation study. The article applied the CPS to the instructional design of dietary guidelines and food security on the basis of the Biology Curriculum Standard for Full-time Compulsory Education and proposed several suggestions. On this account the article would like to show this model to the teachers and provide some inspiration for the instructional design and educational researches.
