Chemistry history is not only the history of chemistry disciplines, but also the history for people to obtain chemistry learning methods from chemical science. Meanwhile, chemistry history is also the treasure house to gain human rich spiritual wealth. Chemical history contains the chemical scientific epistemology accumulated by chemical scientific exploration, chemical science applications as well as profound scientific ideologies, chemical scientific attitudes and chemical scientific spirits from chemical scientists. It is not only an important subject of chemical scientific research and chemical education, but also a hot and difficult problem of modern chemical science education for us how to reasonably integrate chemistry history into chemistry classroom teaching in the middle school so as to achieve the purpose of improving the students’ chemical scientific literacy.Based on the above descriptions, the present study will conduct discussion from the following five aspects:In part one, the background of chemistry history education will be discussed. The situations of chemistry history education in high school are analyzed during the new curriculum reform,In the meanwhile, this academic dissertation tracks the chemistry history education history at home and abroad. In fact, education of chemistry history can be traced back to the middle of the19th century. The emphasis of the chemistry history education is different during different periods. By analyzing the difference between the chemistry history education at home and abroad, this study aims to actively promote the progress of the domestic chemistry history education, and furthermore to accelerate the development of the chemistry history education in our country by drawing on and assimilating the advantages of the foreign chemistry history education. In part two, the relationship between the chemistry history education and students’ comprehensive quality is about to be discussed. The close relationship among chemistry history education, science literacy and humanistic quality are concretely shed light on in this paper. Scientific literacy cultivation is further clarified from such five aspects as stimulating the students’learning interests, and cultivating students’observation consciousness, query consciousness, exploration consciousness and innovation consciousness. The dissertation in detail elaborates the important effect of the introduction of chemistry history education into the chemistry classroom teaching in middle school on improving students’ chemical scientific literacy. On this basis, the humanistic quality is expounded, and the relations between the three aspects are simply summarized. In part three, through a questionnaire, the present situation of the chemistry history education under the new curriculum standard is investigated, and the survey results are comprehensively analyzed. During the process of the specific investigation, the students’ interest in the chemistry history learning during the chemistry science learning, and the status of the chemistry history education teachers introduce in chemistry teaching have thoroughly been investigated. The factors that affect students and teachers’ attitudes toward the chemistry history have been analyzed. Finally, the chemistry history has been expounded by combining the results of document statistics, teacher questionnaires, student questionnaires and interviews with teachers and students, so as to lay a good foundation for better introducing the chemical history education in chemistry teaching. In part four, taking "Chlorine:elements enriched in water" as an instructional design example, how to introduce the teaching history education in the chemistry classroom teaching is explained. On the basis of the completion of the classroom teaching, student interviews are conducted, and the students’ learning effect is analyzed by comparing the experimental classes with the control in order to better understand the harvest of students in the classroom. In part five, the conclusions and recommendations about studies on the chemistry history education have been summarized. By analyzing the status of the chemistry history education and the effect of the chemical history teaching, the existing problems and the influencing factors are analyzed, and conclusions are made. I hope that this research promotes the smooth progress of the new curriculum reform through the innovative applications of chemistry history education. |
