This paper took College of Life and Environmental Sciences in Shanghai Normal University as the research object, picked up data of co-authorship between 1998 and 2009 to construct the co-author network, mainly used the social network analysis method to explore the unique characteristics of the overall network, the ego-network, node and link.Co-author situation of paper statistics show that the overall number of co-author papers increases year by year from 1998 to 2009. The year 2000, 2004 and 2009 are three key time points in different growth situation. Chinese co-author papers are more than foreign papers, the ratio of Chinese-foreign papers is erratic. The co-authors are usually 2 or 3 person, co-author papers of within-department are more than between- department. From the Cumulative network over 12 years, we found 129 teachers has composed a network which contains 2041 links. Network density is between 0.2472, average path is 3 or 4. Teachers generally contact with other two teachers. There are communities in the network obviously, but the boundary is not clear, corporation is dispersed. Through the K-core and collapse, we found the core area which has been the hard-core in the network. The collapse sequence is stable. There isn't the biggest area. 16 core teachers and 11 corporation relations appeared in the network, in which 8 teachers are in the 7-core and 5 corporation relations play important roles in the between-department corporation. From the every year's evolution study, the quantity of corporation increases every year, it occurs the decrease by the attention for the quality. The density decreases time by time, the speed of cooperation quantity is slower than the increasing number of new teachers, new teachers and existing teachers need a fusion process. With the increasing number of teachers, the independent connected components increased slightly, the increasing teacher are more involved in the original cooperation, the number of teachers in giant component fluctuates in percentage drop, which has significant features, and cooperation is becoming more common. From the evolution of the network, there isn't giant component every year from 1998 to 1999, but it appears giant component from 2000 to 2009. With the increase of teachers, network density does not increase, the cooperation between teachers has the big potential to dig out. Network finally evolved into full connect structure, it can be seemed as symbol of preliminary forming. When we took out three bigger research teams from the departments, the connecting network dispersed into scattered network, it means that the teams play important role of the connection in the evolution process Then we used interview method and found they are network of base or team type. There are many experiences for reference. But the scientific cooperation and innovation are restricted by factors such as policy system. In summary, under the influence of factors such as discipline construction, talent introduction, scientific management reform , the number of participation and cooperation in College of Life and Environmental Sciences in Shanghai Normal University increase gradually. Discipline groups have formed. College internal and cooperation potential still can be digged (one is the conclusion 2 of cumulative network evolution, the other is that 45 teachers still not participate in corporation.) The core nodes play important roles of the connection in the evolution process. But they are still under the constraint factors such as policy system. In view of different types of vertex, we can design different incentive measures to promote the further development of the discipline.
