In the process of our society transfers from a traditional society to a modern society, the social control system is inclined to be weakened, which will affect the maintenance of social order and the achievement of social goals. Minors as a special group of the whole society, their physical and psychological characteristics determine their sensitivity to changes in society. To study their criminal acts is of some social value and theoretical significance. This requires the use of appropriate theoretical perspectives to review and study comprehensively the problem of juvenile crime. In many theories that study criminal behavior of minors, Travis Hirsch's theory of social control has great reference value in analysis and prevention of juvenile delinquency. He believes that juvenile delinquency is a result of weakened and broken personal link with the traditional society. Social bond is the relationship between individual and traditional society, shown by social institutions and consists of attachment, commitment, involvement, belief. These four aspects explain the causes of juvenile delinquency. In this paper, the author refers to Hirsch's theory of social control, and considers family, school and society as a starting point to conduct a study of the causes of juvenile crime and based on this, the author advances a system to prevent juvenile delinquency. This paper includes three chapters except foreword and conclusion.The first chapter is an overview of the relevant social control theory, and it introduces the main ideas, the relationship between juvenile delinquency and social control, in particular, it highlights the four aspects of Hershey theory:attachment, commitment, involvement, belief, and gives a brief analysis of the internal relations of these four parts.The second chapter applies the social control theory to analyze causes of juvenile crime, in particular, focusing on how family, school, community affect minors's attachment to family, school and society. And it analyzes how these factors lead to the occurrence of juvenile delinquency.The third chapter is based on the Hirsch theory of social control, and the author advances a model of juvenile crime prevention, that involves family, school, community. In conclusion, the author hopes to create a favorable environment for the healthy growth of minors through the efforts of the whole society that benefit the common future of minors and the whole society.
