In the process of study, attention is the most basic ability. So to enhance the attention is the key to improve the effectiveness of study. In this study, we research on the features of primary and secondary students'attention development, the relation between attention and academic achievement, and the training method of attention by means of interview, test and observation. The paper includes four main parts:Firstly, compile the measurement tools of attention. Compile"Attention Test"by interview and test, and check the reliability and validity.Secondly, research on the development of student's attention. Start test with the self-compiled"Attention Test"and make statistical analysis from the two aspects of the features of primary and secondary students'attention development and the relation between attention and academic achievement.Thirdly, research on cultivating students'attention. Summarize the training methods of attention by collecting literature and interview with teachers, and do training experiments on some students to validate the validity of the training methods.Fourthly, summarize and conclude the process and results of the research, discuss the research results, analyse the shortage of this research and look to the future of the research.The main conclusions of the research on students'attention development and cultivating are as following:1."Attention Test"has high reliability and validity, according with the tests'compiling standard.2.Attention has the increasing trend with the increasing age: develop rapidly during 7-10 and slowly during 11-15. Obvious age difference exist, but obvious sex difference doesn't exist. The correlativity between attention and students'scores obvious during 9-13.3.Students'attention has evident enhancement through 2 months'cultivating. The training methods brought by this study have their practical value and could be used for reference of primary and secondary students'attention development.
