Teaching, as one of human social practices, includes two fundamental questions------why should we teach and how to teach. The first question aims to the purpose and adaptability of teaching, the second regularity and effectiveness. During our long-time practice-of teaching, to explore and grasp the regular pattern of teaching so as to make teaching effective is our consistent pursuit. In our country, the online education in high schools and colleges has brought about the remarkable achievement of "mass higher education". Currently, we are shouldering the historic mission of' building the life-long education system. Facing the new challenge, we have to think deeply:how should high schools and colleges transform the expansion of quantity to the improving of quality of online education. To achieve the effectiveness of online education is a major subject before us. Well, during the process of achieving this historic mission, to explore and build the effective mode of higher long-distance education is the core of ensuring the quality of online education. However, in the field of higher long-distance education, what most practitioners and researchers usually care about economies of scale and cost efficiency. As a result, the quality of education is ignored, and sometimes this even causes the single-sided pursuit of economies scale and cost efficiency. While, what they don't know is that the lack of the quality of education will do harm to the sustainable development of higher long-distance education as well as the development of human society. Thus, my research combines the teaching practice of online long-distance education in Shaanxi province and explores the effective modes of online education. It aims to ensure the quality of online education and improve the ability of talents in this field as well as promote the development of economy and science of Shaanxi province.The research clarifies the investigative significance of my research; it also makes clear the target and contents as well as the specific developing pattern of my research. On these basics,I choose the research methods that apply to my thesis. And then the reaesrch applies the element analysis of documents to integrate the achievements of the modes of online education home and abroad. Moreover, it also shows the current situation and tendency of the teaching patterns in high schools and colleges as well as concludes the enlightenments from predecessors on the basis of analyzing the different modes of teaching between home and abroad.Based on the previous studies, my research defines the core concepts of effectiveness of teaching,effectiveness of online teachings teaching modes,the effective pattern of online teaching. In addition, it also summaries the criteria of effective online teaching in four aspects----the elements of cognition, techniques, teaching and environment. Thus it will establish a solid theoretical foundation to the study of online education modes of Shaanxi province. Based on the four aspects that mentioned in the third chapter, the research carries out a deep research and review to the practical situation of online education in four high schools in Shaanxi province. Also, the research analyzes the practical situation and the existing problems in these schools.Based on the problems of online education modes of Shaanxi province and aims to ensure the effectiveness of online education, the research also builds up the theoretical model of online education on the basis of effective online teaching theory. The theoretical model proposed in the research has provided theory bases for network social interaction environment construction, as well as provided a research framework for further exploration on interaction effectiveness assurance in the each links of online effective learning.The sixth chapter is based on the model of effective online education pattern and has designed a case of effective online teaching modes, and it also evaluates the case in practice. Finally, it revises the designed case according to the evaluated results.Last, the research provides feasible advice to the assurance and rebuilding effectiveness of online education of Shaanxi province. The suggestions are as follows:try out the hybrid duplex model of both campus study and distance study blended; convert ideology of education and value subjectivities development of teachers and students; reinforcing the instructional interactivities and integrating teacher's teaching and student's learning in line with giving equal importance to teaching and learning.
