| In the course of he exam-oriented education reforms towards quality education, there are more demands in school education, not only in the teacher's teaching methods, teaching strategies,teaching philosophy, but also the new insights in the way of learning and achievement of the evaluation of students. The new curriculum reform of geography teaching is also leading to a large number of changes and updates in geography teaching, geography course has changed a lot from the teaching in class to textbooks. The teacher's teaching and students' learning are put forward many new concepts and methods, teaching strategies and learning methods in constant tending towards diversification.Geography is a basic course in secondary schools; geographical education is national education, which also plays a very important role in the contemporary population, resources, environment and development. Because of the uneven development in North and South of our country, there are regional differences of education in China. Under the conditions of economic development and the historical cultural influences, there must be all kinds of differences in geography teaching in secondary schools between coastal and inland areas.This paper is about the differences of high school studies between Xi'an in the inland and Shenzhen, which is based on the comparative theory, by comparing the use of comparative research methods, questionnaires and interviews and other methods, from the school's teaching facilities and the scale of teachers, including teacher qualifications and title situation, the treatment of teachers, the teaching attitude of teachers; all aspects of the local high school students, including character, the learning interest of student geographical situation, the preview of students before learning the geography class, participation in class, homework completion and etc. All these major aspects are compared.By comparing the development of geography teaching in the inland, I have made some recommendations, including the importance of geography course, certainly enhancing the enthusiasm of geography teachers, the creation of geographical practice classes, students' environmental awareness, enhancing their interest in learning.Comprehensive comparisons of the final result of geography teaching, we should strive to improve the interest in learning of students, enhance motivation of students of learning. The views of geography education to the appropriate adjustments and improvements. Carry out research activities for teachers to improve teaching and research level, a rich theory of teacher education and educational thought.The significance of the main topic of this research is two aspects of geography teaching comments and suggestions. Schools improve their teaching strategies and facilities in order to improve the teaching level and teaching performance, students can learn by using a variety of learning methods which are full of self initiative and positive innovation.
