Moral Education Through Network Problems And Countermeasures

In recent years, China's Internet has made a rapid development and popularity, according to "22nd China Internet Development Statistics Report", as of the end of June 2008, China's Internet users reached 253 million, for the first time significantly exceed the United States, the size of Internet users rank jumped the first place in the world. Network has penetrated into every aspect of our life and affected our way of life. It has become an important channel for people to learn as well as to entertain. Colleges contain great amount of human resources and information, where the university students firstly become a major force in Internet surfing, and make the impact of information revolution shock even more significant and representative. Generated under a variety of network environment, various new sense of morality, ethics and moral behavior, has greatly enriched the contents of human morality. However, network is a double-edged sword, which promotes human morality on and on, meanwhile, trips human beings into an unprecedented moral dilemma, and makes a significant impact on the college students' values of world, life and ethics. It brings a number of negative impact which directly endangers the regulation of the network and the college students' formation of healthy personality. Consedering the fact of the increasing number of Internet students, as well as the deficientcies of network-moral education, it is of great importance and nessesity to strenthen network-moral education. Enhancing the ethical and moral education of university internet students, is of great positive meaning to the whole social mood and mental outlook.In the course of network-moral education to college students, new educational conception must be established by the works of college ideological and political education, by changing the traditional way of moral education, adjusting their roles, leading students to a correct view of world, life and value combining the society and family, helping them master the dialectical materialist methodology, meanwhile taking the ablities of self-education, self-management, self-discipline as one of the most important goals. They should put great effort to enhance students'ability to analyze and solve some practical problems by using dialectical materialist methodology, ability to tell right from wrong and to learn to chose the online information, and the ability to identify and analyze.While helping students develop the ability to compare and analyse the authenticity and value of the information, self-reliance and self-awareness ability must be excercised, so that they can chose to absorb good, right things, getting rid of ugly wrong things by obeying network morality and standard network behavior.
