As the international cooperation and exchanges are more and more today, the teaching of foreign literature works has become an important way of leading the students into the world of international literature and at the same time learn the excellent nutrition of other nation's culture. But for a long time, the test content ,the system and the restriction of foreign literature work's feature do not favor the teaching of foreign literature works. In 2006,"New Curriculum"began to be performed in Liaoning province. New curriculum standard made definite requirements for the students that they should"enhance cultural awareness, attach importance to the inheritance of excellent cultural heritage, respect and understand multi-culture, concern cultural life of today learn the analysis of the cultural phenomena, and take active part in the spread and exchange of the advanced culture."To our delight, the"New Curriculum"emphasizes the teaching of foreign literature works to a new degree. By 2009, the teaching of foreign literature works has completed the cycle of three years. Timely conclusion and reflection will benefit later work. In this essay , I discussed the background and significance of the teaching of foreign literature works in senior high school, analyzed the features of foreign literature works, and studied the present situation of foreign literature works aiming to find out the problems and bring out the sound and effective teaching method of foreign literature works.
