| Cultivating middle school students'geography attainment is attached great importance to in many countries'geography curriculum reform today. Geography information attainment a significant part of geography attainment. Thus, it is vital to research the current state and methods for developing geography information attainment of the high school students in China. By cultivating middle school students'geography information attainment, students not only master the learning methods of geography in the information society, but also realize the sustainability of geography learning.Based on the information attainment theory, and the interactions among pedagogy, psychology, and geography, this thesis employs methods like literary reading, analysis and comparison, logical thinking and theoretical exploration, in order to research students'geography information attainment state and the cultivating methods.The thesis first reviews the achievement of the researches on information attainment and geography information attainment, of which the author then figures out the existing problems.The author holds that geography information attainment includes geographical awareness, ethical and moral culture, information knowledge and information ability. From the perspective of the specific content of cultivating students'geography information attainment, the thesis elaborates on the goals of cultivating which includes helping students form good geographical awareness and ethical and moral culture, master systematic information knowledge and improve information ability.
