Union Plight Of The Unipolar System Research

In the realm of international security, security dilemma especially resulted form arms race, have raised hot debate. In the 1980's, alliance dilemma caused by alliance among powers, became new study topic. Glenn Snyder convincingly brought forward his argumentation of alliance dilemma that either tight or loose alliance would make international secu-rity instability, and multipolar system had more serious alliance dilemma problem than in bipolar system. To be unfortunately, Snyder have not study alliance dilemma in unipolar system, hegemony of America has been lasted for 20 years since the end of cold war, and it has shown no sign of decline or transfer. So study alliance dilemma in unipolar system, will contribute lot in both academic area and policy area. Firstly, we will analyse the form and trait of alliance dilemma in unipolar system theoret-ically, then we will review the alliance of western alliance in the first Berlin Crisis and alliance between Italy and German form 1933-1943. So, we can see whether historical facts can validate theory.
