Community Residents To Participate In The Empirical Study Of The Neighborhood Committee Elections

Political participation is the foundation of the democratic politics development as well as an elementary topic in the political study. Scholars all over the world have made deep exploration on it and greatly achieved. With the development of China's politics economy and culture, the civil political participation scope is progressively extended. With the research angle of civil participation in community committee elections, this thesis discusses the rules and experience which political participation would bring out and analyze the prospects of china political participation.This thesis firstly discusses the political participation theory. Then it analyzes the theory's historic background and the history of community committee elections with he purpose to provide an important basis for the study of China's political participation.With the help of China's civil participation evaluation system as well as dimensions of depth, scope and effectiveness, this thesis analyses the 2003,2006 and 2009 community committee elections in Shanghai's Yangpu District to evaluate the current situation of the civil political participations, explores the problems in the political participations of citizens in our country and the factors which potentially prevent the civil political participations from being orderly held and tries to give suggestions on how to improve the civil political participations.
