As a country accomplished the democratic transition successfully, South Korea's political development recently appears some new features, among which the most important one is the completely change of people's attitudes to the new president and his administration. Like Lee Myung-bak, Roh Moo-hyun had similar experience: he was elected as president with a high approval rate at first; but several months later, his approval rate declined to below 30%, leading to the government facing serious crisis.This article analyzes from the constitutional system, party system, economic factors, religion and national sovereignty and historical factors. Describes characteristics these are reflected in crises in the process of Korean democratization and analyzes its experiences and lessons. The author attempts to answer the following questions: first, what factors lead to these events occur and improve on the political system; second, what social and economic factors are the root causes of these problems; third, what is the main trend of Korea's future political development; fourth, what are inspirations of these events in South Korea on the East Asian and other developing countries.
