As the development of socialist market economy and open-door to the outside world, China enters the key era of social transformation and structural rearrangement. And the diversification trend of economic sector, economic interest, social life style, the way society being organized and the way of employment becomes stronger. Under this background, youth self-organizations are booming quickly. There're a lot of self=organizations coming forth. Generally speaking, these self=organizations are very professional and governed by some institutions, while others are mainly joined by college students and activity=oriented. Furthermore, there're also some self=organizations are based on the internet and associated in the internet. They are called self-organizations by this thesis. Compared with traditional organizations, self-organizations are characterized by their special service object, tangible service objective, flexible activity and current mobilization way. Their creative activities and autonomous participation make them very attractive to the youth and affect them very much in value, learning style, employment and life way. These self-organizations may play positive roles in construction of harmonious society.We find that some self=organizations finally disintegrates although in good situation. What' s the reason? What are the specific effects of self-organizations on the youth, society and the youth league? How about their development situation and what' s the relation of them with the youth league? Are there some risks in the youth league's work on self=organizations when policies issued by the government? All these are very important issues for us to study. With government' s transformation and the youth league' s capability of uniting the youth being becoming weak, studying the guidance of the youth league to self=organizations' development is a very important and significant issue.This thesis takes the practices of self=organization work in Shanghai as examples, and put the emphasis on the establishment of interactive relationship between the youth league and self=organizations, and the guidance for the stable and healthy development of self=organizations. With survey and case study, the thesis analyzes the background of self-organizations' emergence, development, the relation between the youth league and self-organizations. It also propose some advises on the cooperation between the youth league and self=organizations.
