| Social equity is a basic principle on which modern social system is designed and arranged. It is also a basic premise for the safe functioning and the healthy development of a society. Only through abiding by the rules of social equity can all social classes interact well and cooperate continuously. Only through abiding by the rules of social equity can the vast majority of the social members benefit a lot and can the real development be realized.In present China, settling the issue of social inequity brooks no delay. It's undoubtedly of great significance to research the social equity in the background of constructing a harmonious socialist society. We consider it a primary significance of constructing a harmonious society to seek the social equity. From a historical perspective, some great revolutionary guides such as Marx, Engels, MaoZedong, DengXiaoping, all put the social equity the fist. From a realistic perspective, people have great needs for social equity while there are a great deal of inequity in the society, which requires the Chinese Communist Party to take the responsibility for settling the present issue of social inequity.After analyzing the basic contents and present state of a fair society, we come up with the specific measures to deal with the present social inequity. There are two kinds of measures, one being radical while the other being stopgap. The main contents of this thesis are the following: 1.The basic concept of social equity should be emphasized, not just given the same consideration to as other issues. 2. The reform of social security system should be strongly pushed. 3. The relationship between justice and efficiency in social development should be well dealt with. 4. The inferior groups of people should be fairly treated. In fact, there is still a long way to go in constructing a fair society with which people are satisfied. It requires the corresponding reform of the political system and the economic system. |
