Power restriction is a hot spot in Chinese modern academic world, and many academic works have been published. The studies on power restriction mechanism of ancient Greece and ancient Roman Republic are involved in many academic works, but there has been no article that is specialized in systematically expounding power restriction mechanism of ancient Greece and ancient Roman Republic. Therefore, this paper attempts to discuss deeply the power restriction mechanism and its social and historical forming conditions of ancient Greece and ancient Roman Republic, and get some positive revelations. It is hoped that this paper can contribute to fully understanding of western power restriction system and establishment of power restriction system and operation mechanism that conforms to China's specific national condition.This paper, from the perspective of the Constitution, mainly in the way of historical analysis, system analysis and social analysis, makes systematic, specific, and deep study and exposition on power restriction mechanism and its social and historical forming conditions of ancient Greece and ancient Roman Republic. The full text consists of four chapters, about 50,000 characters.The first Chapter discusses contemporary Western power restriction mechanism. Firstly, the general theory of the power restriction mechanism is necessarily analyzed to make fundamental for later exposition. Then, the development of Western powers and restriction mechanism is analyzed, and its history dates back to ancient Greece and ancient Rome period. Then it is pointed out that this period is the preliminary stage of human power and restriction mechanism, and thereby the following three chapters are elicitedThe second Chapter expatiates on power restriction mechanism and its social and historical forming conditions of ancient Greece. Athens of Ancient Greece was the first to create comparatively integrated power restriction mechanism in the world. Athens power restriction mechanism is based on city direct democracy, and mainly manifested in two aspects: First, the citizens' restriction on state power; Second, the Jury Court's supervision and restriction on Popular Assembly and state officials. The social and historical forming condition is the influence of city-state system, of course, also includes the influence of the special geographical and social environmentThe third Chapter elaborates on power restriction mechanism and its social and historical forming conditions of ancient roman. The power restriction mechanism of ancient Roman Republic is the soul of its republic political system, and it plays an important role in maintaining stability and promoting national development and prosperity. This chapter analyzes the ancient Roman Republic's separation of powers,democratic election system, and Ombudsman system, protect the people Bureaucracy, and the tenure system and power control system. And this chapter verifies its social and historical forming conditions in five aspects, namely historical source, social basis, legal basis, natural environment, and foreign influenceThe fourth chapter expounds the limitation and historical experience of power restriction mechanism of ancient Greece and ancient Roman Republic. Firstly, this chapter analyzes the limitation of power restriction of ancient Greece and ancient Roman Republic, and intends to sum up the social conditions of its formation, which includes following: Civil society is social foundation for power restriction system formation, democracy is the system premise for power restriction system formation, and the rule of law is basic guarantee for operation of power restriction mechanism.
