The judicial works of The early Qin Dynasty embody wealthy ideas of harmony manifested in "congruence",union", " mean(the doctrine of mean),"and " rightness " which are related to the governing of the state and relationships between man and nature. While Confucians, the School of Mohism,Daoists, and legalists in the early Qin Dynasty have their own view of harmony, each of them approaches it differently.Confucianism worships "being virtuous" ;but the School of Mohism advocates "extensive love and mutual beneficial " ;Daoism emphasizes " following the way of the universe" ,while the legalists adhere to the application of penalty. All of these thoughts had a profound impact on the rulers, masses and laws in later generations of the feudal society and they still possess outstanding values that are practical in modern society. |
