Back in the Second Plenary Session of Seventh CPC Central Committee, Mao Zedong put forward the focus of the party's work should shift to economic construction. However, in terms of the objective and subjective reasons, the transition of the Communist Party of China from the revolution to construction was rather difficult, and eventually returned to the revolution. It was not until 1978, the Third Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee, the transition rose again and truly achieved. Nowadays, our country is in social transition, and reform and development are in a crucial period, the modernization of society has made tremendous progress, but social relations of interests become more complex, new situations and new problems emerge, so that many people challenge the reform in contemporary China. It is undoubtedly significant in theory and in practice as well to analyse the errors of the past socialist theory and to analyse the experience and lessons in the course of practice. So that we can hold the laws of development of human society, the laws of socialist construction and the laws of party's ruling, and we can carry out the socialist modernization successfully.The research methods and principles are as follows: Taking the Marxism materialism as the instruction; combining theories with the practice; and taking the practice as the only standard to examine the truth; combining the world with China; checking China's socialist construction achievement and the fault in view of the entire universal socialism movement; paying attention to the general analysis of motive and the objective effect; trying best to grasp the truth underground; paying attention to the combination of history inspection and contemporary perspective; following the historical principles and at the same time reflecting deeply to the history at the view of socialism rules. In sum, this study tries best to analyze the difficult transition reasons from revolution to construction of CPC.Part I : It is Mao's improper understanding for revolution that made the transition difficult complete.
