The economic status of China's Private Enterprise has been clearly delineated in the 15th National Congress of the CPC, and the 16th congress confirmed the function of China Private Economic and the socio-economic status of private entrepreneur. This congress paid more attention to the development of private economic, and provided an excellent development environment for private enterprise, that has never been seen before. It can be said that it's the best time in the history for Chinese private economic.25 years opening-up of the Chinese economy has proved that private enterprise has the most development potential. Many private enterprises grow fast from small to huger, from weak to strong, and play more and more important roles in the Chinese economy. According to the statistics, the number of listed private enterprises in china's A share market has reached 300. In 2003, there were 69 private enterprises in the list of Top 500 Chinese Enterprise (made by China Enterprise Confederation), and the number increased to 74 in 2004. It means that some private companies become the industry leader.Though the number of Chinese private enterprise is increasing steadily, most of them are still small, and their competence is weak. So that it is necessary to study the private industry leaders, abstracting the reasons of their success to direct the development of other private enterprises. The article selects a sample of Chinese private leading companies and a comparison sample of Chinese state-owned leading companies. Firstly, the indexes of these two samples are analyzed, and then the characters of private companies and state-owned companies also are analyzed. So the article finds out some same characters and differences of the two samples. Based on that, the article tries to study the successful habits of Chinese leading private companies, and finally concludes five reasons that make the companies being successful. In the end of the article, the author advises Chinese private enterprises to learn the successful habits and to create for improving themselves.
