Zhejiang Province, Sources And Composition Of Income Of Rural Residents

China's rural-urban income inequality has been presented and been paid great attention to for a considerable period of time in the realm of social science. This issue has also been one of the most important economical and social problems. And many research results can mostly come to such a consistent conclusion that the problem of the rural-urban income inequality should attribute mainly to the relatively slower increment speed of the rural people's income but not to the faster development of the urban area, so the study of the rural area should be the key point of this issue. Thus these research results and some social realities can provide us a new angle of view in such studies: In the progress of the social economy, there must be a close relationship between the changes of resource and structure of the rural people's income and the process of the rural-urban income inequality, especially in some typical area with the problems concerned. Zhejiang province is a case in point, whose rural people have a higher income. Relied on the national social science fund program "shift the agriculture-industry rural-urban and regional inequality's growth trend" of 2003, this research also studied the latest development of the rural-urban income inequality from the point of rural people's income resource and structure changes. As a whole, this paper not only makes great sense to the relief of this crucial problem but also enriches studies of development economics both in the research methods and in the theory results. The details include:1. Introduce the background and significance of the thesis, and the relative research theories as well, and then state the detailed research methods.2. Briefly describe Zhejiang's rural economy. Then study the net income of the rural people in Zhejiang province, especially its structure, and analyze the influence of different parts of rural people's income to the net income.3. Use the GE model to calculate both the whole country and Zhejiang province's rural-urban inequality indices, and then make the periodical partition and character analysis respectively, which is mainly based on the different changing speed. And forecast the trend with the support of the correlativity study between rural people's income increase of different periods and the process of rural-urban income inequality.4. Decompose different parts of income's contribution to the net income inequality with Shorrock's inequality decomposition by factor components method and make a further study on the degree and the changes in recent years.5. Based on the latest survey data about Zhejiang rural people's income in 2003, analyze the effects of those notable influencing factors on different income resources in detail and give some explanations with the help of the multi-variables linear regression in the 12.0 edition of SPSS software. And finally discuss Zhejiang rural people's attitudes toward local people's income level and the present income gap, etc.6. Come to the conclusion systematically based on the analyses above.
