Since the reform and opening up,China's economy has developed rapidly, but the contradiction between uneven development and insufficient development has become increasingly prominent.my country's urban-rural income gap is obvious. In 2017,the urban-rural income ratio was as high as 2.71,which not only has an important impact on the stability of people's livelihood and economic growth, but also concerns the development goal of building a well-off society in 2020.At the same time, the aging problem of the rural population in China is prominent, not only in the aging rural areas and deep aging rural areas are increasing substantially, but also in the state of spatial imbalance.Based on the classic dual structure theory, this article attempts to explore the relationship between the urban-rural income gap and the aging of the rural population, and concludes that: aging of the rural population is not perfect in the short-term Chinese market. On the static level, the rural population Aging causes the overall rural human capital to be shallow, which directly reduces rural labor income and leads to an increase in urban-rural income inequality;on the dynamic level, the aging of the rural population affects rural labor migration, and even leads to the "rural labor transfer trap, affecting agricultural productivity,Further deepening the dual structure, resulting in increased urban-rural income inequality.Based on China's 2000-2017 inter-provincial panel data, regression results show that the aging of the rural population will significantly increase urban and rural income inequality. In addition, considering the East,The difference between the aging of rural population and the degree of dual structure in rural areas in the central and western regions, this paper also conducted a regional regression and found that the impact of aging rural population on urban and rural income inequality has regional differences.Based on this, this paper proposes a response Relevant policy implications of the adverse effects of the aging of the rural population.
