As a compose of tourism industry , business tourism in China has being developed rapidly when the policy of reform and opening to the outside world is further performed and the cooperation and communication with foreign countries are continuously increased. According to the investigation, in 2002, China mainland, Hong Kong and Singapore become the first choice destinations for business tourism and China substituted Singapore as the favorite region for business tourists. In order to improve the development of China's tourism enterprises and strength their capability to participate in the international competition, there is an important academic and practical significance for in-depth researching China business tourism. At presence, there is little research about the market of business tourism. The thesis aims to make China's tourism enterprises be fully aware of the present condition and existent problems by analyzing historical data, comparing Chinese enterprises with international famous enterprises and applying with service marketing theories and competing strategies, so that it can supply reference to enterprises when they stipulate for business tourism market strategy.This theory is to discuss business tourism on the following four parts:The first part is to summarize business tourism, including defining the concept of business tourism, illustrating its characters, introducing its structure and the macroscopical factors affecting the development of business tourism for destinations, analyzing the market strategies of business tourism products from Product, promotion, price and place.The second part is firstly to analyze the pattern of China's business tourism, which embodies that the business tourists mainly come from Asia, the destinations for travel focus on the south sea-alone cities and some travel cities in China and the numbers of business tourist have tended to increase. Then opportunities for the development of business tourism in China are analyzed. These opportunities include China entering the WTO successfully, Beijing preparing for Olympic Games and Shanghai holding The World's Fair in 2012, which will further promote thedevelopment for China's business tourism from many asides.The third part is to deeply analyze the existent problems in the development of China's business tourism. These problems are that relative government departments don't play an active role for promoting the business tourism, some domestic tourism enterprises don't provide satisfactory service to the business tourists and are short of well-known brands comparing with foreign travel enterprises and so on.The fourth part is to put forward the strategies for further developing China's business tourism. The business tourism of China will develop for the better in the future by transforming the government's functions, exactly fixing on the target market, improving the reception condition and enriching the travel products structure to represent its individual characters.We could like to say that more than twenty years economic reform and open policy in China have laid a fixed foundation for the development of business tourism industry. Especially confronting such more exciting opportunities at the present time, China should pay more emphasis to develop business tourism so as to drive the all-round development of the three industries and boost China's economy.
