Thinking About The Methodology Of The Socialist National Capacity

In abstract, the state of socialism is a weak state; however, it is become strong state in reality. The gap between the theory and practice has made the socialist state capabilities a controversial issue. The aim of this thesis is to provide a methodological reflection.The thesis is divided into six pails.The section 1 puts forwards the problem of the socialist state capabilities and points out its theoretical and practical significance.The section 2 reviews the opposite altitudes briefly, one of which holds that the strong state in real socialism is rational and that the weak state represented by Marxism classics is wrong; while the other is directly opposite to the former."The reconciliation between ration and reality" is recognized as the idee of methodology for the study of this issue in section 3. The present writer point out that if the real socialism is attributed to The Second Formation and the ideal to The Third, we can fill the gap between them. However, this is just a simple co-ordination, not the real reconciliation, which demands constructing a whole methodology to provide a guideline to settle it. The present writer maintains thai the theory of world history can do that and then elucidates the necessity and possibility of the application of the theory of world history on this issue.The meaning of world history, methodological implication and principles of its applications are focused in section 4. As a method, the theory of world history means: (1) broad perspective; (2) being practical; (3) developmental; (4) the unification and diversification of human history.Exampling the Man.festo of The Communist Party, the paper analyses the principles of application and draws a conclusion that the necessity of the historical development and the activities and history subject should be combined.The section 5 takes the process of Chinese modernization as an example and elucidates the necessity of the strong state of socialism and rationality of Marxian hegemonic party grasping the history trend.The conclusion indicates that the task of this paper is confined to reconciliation of weak state of socialism in abstract and the strong state in reality. However, such a reconciliation is incomplete and unsatisfactory, the real reconciliation is in demand for reconstruction of Marxism theory of the state.
