The aim of this study is to discover the factors that influence aggression and psychological means to decrease aggression. For this purpose, juvenile delinquents are chosen as subject whose aggressive behaviors occur frequently. By means of teacher rating, peer rating, and self-report, we assess the level of juvenile delinquents' aggression. Combining with personality, parents' bearing styles, and some object factors, we try to explore how they influence their aggression.Furthermore, we have designed a series of group training lessons to decrease juvenile delinquents' aggression. To examine the effect, we examined the level of aggression of the intervening groups and the non-intervening groups at the pre-test, the post-test, and the following test. The results show: 1) juvenile delinquents' aggression is influenced by their personality. There exits significant positive relationship between aggression and extroversion (EPQ-E) and psychoricism (EPQ-P); and 2) aggressive juvenile delinquents' parents tend to use punitive, severe bearing style. They would not like to communicate with their children. And the children can't understand their patents clearly; 3) the more susceptible to aggression are the adolescents who are older in the same grade, boys, have poor achievements, have behavior problems, whose parents have poor education; and 4) juvenile delinquents are influenced by each other, and so are their aggressive behaviors. If someone increases his aggressive behaviors, the aggression of the whole group will increase; 5) the aggressive behaviors of juvenile delinquents are rectifiable. It is effective by means of group training .Based on the previous results, we suggest: 1) the reasons that cause aggressive behavior are multiple. To prevent aggression, the roles of the parents, the school and society should be combined; 2) the aggressive behaviors are rectifiable. So the school and the administration should equip special psychological staff and have special psychological lessons to decrease aggression.
