In the paper , the author firstly makes a serious study of the data on the developmental course of the system of labour re-education and sum up its characters in different periods . Secondly , viewpoints on the establishment or the abolishment of the system of labour re-education in theory and practice circles are cleared up . Thirdly , after subsistent problems of the system of labour re-education are evaluated objectively , the author thinks that it is necessary for the system of labour re-education to maintain speaking whether from rationality or from maneuverability . Finally , the assumption to perfect our country 's system of labour re-education is brought forward from aspects of legislation and procedure by using other countries' similar law system for reference .
