The social vulnerable groups is a social matter which needs the focus and solution from every nation all over the world. However, before our country went into the social reforming, the social structure possessed high rigidity, homogeneity and closeness, the matter in china has been going unnoticed. Things has greatly changed in recent years, with the reformation of our society and the open-door policy, and with the acceleration in the social reforming and classification of the masses, we have begun to notice not only those disadvantaged communities which has been in existence before the reformation, but also the generation of a large amount of fresh disadvantaged communities. This matter is very serious in that it not only threatens the social stability, but also degrades the conformity of our country and counterworks the sustaining development.This essay, with the approach from legal sociology, attempts to probe into the solutions to the problem of social vulnerable groups in China through the building of law protecting the social vulnerable groups. This essay has four parts, as its main content and framework as follows: Part I focuses on the definition and causes of the social vulnerable groups, its different types and the influences it has been placing on the society. Part II compares the developments and current situation of the legal protection of the social vulnerable groups in both China and western countries. This part also presents the necessity that, legal protections are urgently needed in China.Part III and Part IV serve as the body of this essay. Setting out from the making and execution of the law, this essay develops a complete research and statement in the establishment of the code for law protecting social vulnerable groups, in the improvements we can make to the legal system and in the perfection of the execution of the law.
