Lao Tzu Ben y/(the original meaning of Tao Te Ching), which inherited from Tao Te Ching, was a great work of Taoism in the period when Western culture and ancient Chinese culture began to conflict and interact with each other. The theory of management ethics of Lao Tzu Ben Yi is moralizing, i.e. the cultivation of Tao and Te penetrates into the whole process of management. It is refered to as "the principle of the Self-so and Nonaction", from which the principle of cultivation of a state of inner calm and that of management can be deduced.Based on humanism, the theories of the management ethics of Lao Tzu Ben Yi includes three major points: it advances the principles of moralizational management of the Self-so and Nonaction on the basis of the Self-so humanity; it makes the cultivation of a state of inner calm penetrate into the whole process of organizational activities and emphasizes that the key organizational task is to set up interpersonal relationship of all glare tempered and all dust smoothed; it points out that the convergent power of an organization is rooted in the cultivation of Tao and Te of its head from which the initiative and creativity of its members can be stimulated and developed, and that on the basis of moral levels of its members, the head should establish corresponding regulations and stimulative steps.The theory of the management ethics of Lao Tzu Ben Yi is highly rational and valuable, and therefore we should spend more time studying it. |
