Strategic alliance has become prevailing in tourism industry in recent years as an effective approach to survive from the increasingly severe competition worldwide. It exposes a brand new way for Chinese tourism industry to develop and expand under the pressure from the oncoming ferocious competition with foreign tourism industry. This dissertation tries to set up a new approach to analyze this initiative organization and give general analysis of its opponents and as well as its life cycle so as to introduce some guidelines for Chinese tourism industry that are threatened by future competition when China enters WTO. The paper also aims at attracting more academic attention into this subject, which at present meets little interest and effort. There are many research vacancies in the subject and the current research effort in the subject focuses on development strategy selection for the tourism industry. This paper consists of 4 parts: preface, theoretical analysis, case study, and conclusion. Characteristics of this paper lies in its many initiative points which lies not only in the subject choosing, but also in the approach of analysis, the analysis of the opponents of strategic alliance organization, and the analysis of the life cycle of the organization.
