Erp Applications In The Enterprise Risks And Countermeasures

The purpose of the paper is to prove that the ERP is the most advanced mould in the contemporary enterprise management, which has brought the enterprise its efficient, beneficial, competence and speedy development. While some enterprises just received financial hardness, operating invalidation and even bankruptcy due to the pursuit of this ERP. Therefore comes the theme of this paper: What are the risks of ERP application in the enterprises? Where does it lie in? What are the countermeasures for the enterprises? And how to implement the ERP with individual characteristics? This is the problem that the paper is going to be exploring. This paper illustrates clearly a distinct and definite notion of ERP by introducing the characteristics of ERP and the benefit brought to the enterprises and a typical case of SAP R/3. This paper also introduced the current applications and its trend of the ERP in the world. Through the theory and means of the computer management information system, we can elicit an advanced management mould to upgrade enterprise management level, improve its operating efficiency, buildup its market competence and boost up its economic benefits by implementing ERP. It would be a supreme risk for an enterprise without application an ERP system and it would also bring its risks if the enterprises put in a not proper ERP system for it or in a not proper way. This paper explored the countermeasures to the risks by analyzing the objective of the organism, the operating procedure and the technology. Therefore we proposed here an establishment of risk management mechanism to avoid the risks.
