Recently, modem equipment has developed to large-scale, continuity, high-speed and automation. What is more, with the rapid development of modem technology and the increasing improvement of society comsumption, people have attached great importance to improving the reliability and maintainability of equipment. Guided by the reliability theory and equipment management theory, based on the practical research in Bar-Mill of Tangshan Steel Corporation, this paper probes into the reliability and resource optimization study on continuous equipment system. Based on continuous equipment system, this paper first expounds the evolution of equipment management strategy systematically. Compared with several maintenance management strategies, Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) is considered as an up-to-date maintenance management strategy, which should be the basis and the main subject of this paper. Furthermore, this paper analyses the reliability of continuous equipment system in greater details. Using qualitative and quantitative methods, this paper also analyses the selection of maintenance actions and the determination of maintenance tasks. In light of all these results, it further works over the maintenance resource optimization model of continuous equipment system. Through several deterministic models, it realizes the combination of the reliability and the resource optimization of continuous equipment system, thus increases the reliability and maintainability of equipment, and reduces maintenance costs. This study not only makes a certain theoretical sense, but also has practical and extensive prospect.
