North Korea has never stop conducting nuclear tests、launching satellites and missiles since South Korea president Park Geun-hye came to power in 2013. Even though The United Nations has imposed tough sanctions on North Korea for about 4 times,but it still cannot shake North Korea’s determination to continue to conducting nuclear tests.As we can see, North Korean leader Kim Jeong-eun shows a strong will to develop nuclear weapons and North Korea has made some preliminary achievements so far. Especially after the fouth nuclear test that announced the successful launch of the first hydrogen bomb early this year, North Korea’s intention to implement nuclear deterrence in the confrontation with U.S.-ROK military alliance and dominate the Korean peninsula affairs is quite obvious.So the consequence is the deteriorating northeast Asian security situation and the increasingly severe Korean peninsula nuclear crisis. In response to the nuclear crisis, the U.S.and South Korea enhence their allied relationshiop tacitly to strenghen military deterrence.In response to North Korea’s nuclear threat, U.S.-ROK allies have decided to deploy THAAD anti-missile system and even have set up joint working group related to consultations and negotiations about THAAD. As to the return of wartime operational control of South Korean forces,U.S.and South Korea have come to an agreement based on the conditions that South Korea complete independent defense system like KAMD(Korea Air and Missile Defense)until mid-2020 s.Everytime when North Korea conduct nuclear tests, U.S.-ROK allies will carry out joint military exercises as a warning,this year is no exception. U.S.and South Korea held the biggest joint military exercises known as “Key Resolve”and “Foal Eagle” drills.In order to enhance intelligence gathering ability and intelligence sharing cooperation about North Korea’s nuclear problem, U.S.、Japan and South Korea signed 《North Korea’s nuclear and missile inte lligence communication protocol》. U.S.and South Korea even modified the old atomic energy agreement to the new《The South Korea atomic energy agreement》,which is aimed to strengthen cooperation in nuclear fuel and nulear export.U.S.and South Korea have strengthened military alliance to oppress North Korea to renounce nuclear weapons and the UN Security Council has passed a very tough sanction resolution on North Korea.Even though measures have been taken,we can believe that North Korea will never renounce nuclear weapons because of insecurity from U.S.-ROK military alliance. China consistently supports a nuclear-weapon-free Korean Peninsula and solving the problem through peaceful dialogue and maintaining the Peninsula peace and stability. If North Korea insists to develop nuclear weapons,it will be very thorny for China to solve the Korean nuclear issue.
