Patriotism is a persistent but new topic. Patriotism, is a kind of essencial ideology to pursue belonging and identification, which formed after the precipitation of historical civilization. Meanwhile, it is also the ideological brightness to show noble moral sentiment and progressive political pursuit, which formed in dealing with individual and national relationship. Patriotism education is a king of education to strengthen the national belonging, identity, self-esteem, self-confidence, and pride. China is an ancient civilization, which has a history of 5000 years. As well, America is the world powers, which has a history of 200 years. Both China and America treat patriotism education as the important content of ideological and political education. Making a comprehensive comparison on sino-us patriotism education, not only is to grasp its motion, but also discuss mutual beneficial ways to promote patriotism education and research development. Therefore, the comparative study on sino-us patriotism education can not only stay in the level of comparison, but also treat comparison, reference and improvement as a a unified process for exploration.Through the use of main research methods, including the comparative analysis, document analysis, logic analysis and investigation analysis, the paper begins from the concept related to patriotism education, explores the characteristics and the similarities and differences in each stage of sino-us patriotism education, analyzes the commonness and differences in all aspects of sino-us patriotism education in detail, and finds the existed problems. The aim is to make the reflection on the theory and practice and discusse how to prctice patriotism education.This paper mainly includes six parts.The introduction section briefly expounds the sino-american patriotism education. It mainly includes the background and the significance, the research status at home and abroad, the research content and innovative points, the idea and research methods of sino-american patriotism education.The first chapter discusses the basic connotation of patriotism. nationalism and internationalism. which are related to patriotism education. and then expounds the relation among them. The second chapter is the comparison on the development process of the sino-american patriotism. Firstly, the development course of sino-american patriotism is divided into different historical stages; and then, the analysis gradually spreads, the commonness and differences on the development process of the sino-american patriotism expound natually.The third chapter is the analysis on the different aspects of sino-american patriotism education, such as the basic principles, the basic contents and the main characteristics, the basic approaches and the main methods, the goals and the realistic effects, and the environment construction. According to the different aspects of the commonness and differences of sino-us patriotism education, it is useful for exploring the scientific, regularity and enhancing the pertinence and effectiveness of patriotism education.The fourth chapter is the lesson and enlightenment after the comparative study on sino-us patriotism education. Through the reflection of the theory and practice on patriotism education, we can make more profoundly comparison and reference on sino-us patriotism education. At the same time, we can get deep enlightenments, such as we should pay more attention to the role of religion and religious folk, the importance to the national culture construction, strengthening the common cultural identity, and so on.The conclusion part is the simple discussion and summary on patriotism. This chapter not only includes the brief review of comparative study on sino-us patriotism education, but also includes the immature thinking and suggestions on the existed problems of patriotism education.Through the in-depth analysis of the article, we can see that it is just the flashed momment in the process of the theory and practice on patriotism education. But this moment is not dispensable. With the development of globalization, the tendency of fusion is increasing, and the national borders become blurred gradually due to the infiltration of economy. However, patriotism is a eternal proposition, patriotism education is still the important link of ideological and political education. The comparative study on sino-us patriotism education is the important chance to develop and improve the theory and practice of patriotism education.
