Titian was an archetypal Renaissance figure of Venetian painting .His paint style has been visible changed from early neat and delicate style into wild, uninhibited style after 1640's,has a significant impact on later artists; The change of his style has a special significance of Western art history. The advocate of competition and pursuit of fame in Renaissance impacted Titian's choice of art, which was reflected in his imitation of ancient sculpture and Michelangelo's art work ,and regard Michelangelo as his opponent,to digest and modify the painting jargon and terms of the central region of Italy , and another reason of this imitation was because the Venice art education which Titian had was lack of proper terms for tragedy and violence themesBesides this ,the superior social position of Titian had strengthened Titian's self-awareness and enable him to reform the tragedy and violence themes based on his interest with liberal environment. The expression of tragedy and violence from later works of Titian fully reflects the style and features of late Titian-style . |
