| The Puppet Show is the intangible cultural heritage of China, under which background the article discusses the digitalized technology of the Puppet Show with the motion capture technology. The article provides a new concept and approach to the preservation, developing and utilizing Chinese traditional Puppet Show. It analyses the motion patterns of the puppets and their performances; and with the borrowing of motion capturing technology in the application to motion pictures it further devises a motion capturing technology and its supporting technology suitable for the Puppet Show, and finally realizes a technological program that digitalizes the traditional Puppet Show. |
