This paper is going to study YelüChucai (a Qidan thinker)'s philosophy .This paper attempts to analyze his life experiences and poetry works, discuss his "syncretism" Thought (three Teachings combine into one) in general , and then discuss his Confucian, Buddhist, Daoist (Taoist) thinking separately .Paper is divided into three chapters .The first chapter introduces Chucai's life experiences, discuss the causes he converted to Buddhism, and summarized his historical contribution. The second chapter will discuss his "syncretism" Thought (three Teachings combine into one) in general . It will specifically addressed his idea that three teachings has the same logic but different functions . It will also demonstrate that his idea is based on Buddhism , summarize the characteristics of his thought , trace the source of his ideas .The third chapter is divided into three sections:Section I will discuss his Confucian thought, including his "Confucianism Ruling" and anti- Neo-Confucianism Thought; Section II will discuss his Buddhist thought, including his Zen thinking, his thinking about the relationship between Zen and Buddhism , his criticism of the Kang Zen (Kang Chan) which is a Buddhist heresy ; Section III will discuss his Daoist (Taoist) thinking , including his appreciation of the Taoism as a school of philosophy , his criticism of Taoism as a kind of religion . This section will focus on the details and reasons about the event that Qiu Chuji and Yelübecome enemies. Finally, the conclusion will briefly summarize the views of the full text.
