Opera "samson And Dali La" Mezzo-soprano Aria Analysis And Research

The composer Saint-Saens wrote 13 works on opera, the most famous one is 'Samson et Dalila', that is one of the few opera in which the mezzo-soprano is leading actor. This paper selects the three mezzo-soprano aria,'Printemps qui commernce',Mon coeur s'ouvre a ta voix','Amour, viens aider',in 'Samson et Dalila', to carry out the study,and analyze the background,scenario and manner of these work. we analyze the characteristic and the difference in extemportizing these arias by comparing Borodina,Villette and Horne. Finally, based on the author's instance,the difficulty and issue are proposed on technique,language and mindof the role, in extemportizing these arias.As the author is a mezzo-soprano, who has not only the very experience of performing this role but also the ability to analyse the mezzo-soprano part of the opera, some views are brought forward in this paper, based on the analysis and research on the three arias of the heroine Dalila in Samson et Dalila.
