The governing policy of Ming Dynasty is Periodic in Tibet, also as in the Wusizang area, with the individual characteristic in each stage.Viewed from overall, the governing policy of Ming Dynasty in Tibet is becoming more and more meticulous and complete, which is adjusted and changed according to the gradual understanding of the situation in Tibet. Ambassadors to Tibet play a very important role in the connection with Tibet. Although sending Ambassadors to Tibet is just a part of the communication between Ming government and Tibet, It also reflects various governing policy to Tibet, involved political management, economic exchanges, cultural communications and many other aspects. The frequent visits paid by the Ambassadors to Tibet made the Ming government knows more about Tibet thus in the same time made the Tibetan feudal forces realize the authority of the centural government. It is undoubted that understands improves after communication and cooperation assures the development.This paper is written to enrich the understanding of the history about the relations among different nations during Ming Dynasty.—based on the existing researches and the historical material, this paper states the general situations and characteristics of each period, and the functions of ambassadors to Tibet are also stated. The whole paper has five chapters, except an introduction. The former four chapters state the general situations and characteristics of Hongwu period, Yonglexuande Period, Zhengtong to Zhengde period, Jiajing period and the latter five periods:in the Hongwu period, the governor sends ambassadors to Tibet to let all Tibetans to obey him and go on tea-horse trade market; in the Yonglexuande Period, the main task of the ambassadors is to invite the authorised monks and to bestow the powerful persons to carry out the policy of "zhongjianduofeng"(widely bestowing). During this period, the visits to Tibet are quite frequent and with important missons, Houxian and Yangsanbao are two of the most outstanding ambassadors; there is tiny change of The governing policy in Zhengtong to Zhengde period, the main policy is still "zhongjianduofeng", the frequent visits of monks are closely related with the emperor's individual elements. It is a weak period of the visiting after Jiajing period and the latter five periods because of the finalized governing policy to Tibet and the settlized relationship between the Ming government and the Tibet, there is no need to send ambassadors frequently, only if something happened and need to be known by each other that the ambassadors are needed. The 5th chapter generally anylizes the functions of ambassadors to Tibet.The ambassadorial visits to Tibet which this paper trying to research involve all the places the Tibetan lived at that time, so all the ambassadorial visits to Sichuan, Gansu, Qinghai which are related with the Tibetan nationality are included.
