Discipline-based art education by the 20th century, 60 years subject structure of the U.S. doctrine resulting from the impact of curriculum reform .20th century theory is widely used in the 80's Art Education and the United States had a profound influence on the creation of art classes in ordinary schools providing significant support. Content for instruction is derived primarily from four - discipline based Art Education to students systematically and step by step teaching, correcting the field of arts education in the past dominated by art-centered philosophy of arts education to their students to provide a systematic study of the arts knowledge. As the subject structure of educational thinking in the teaching of Marxism in practice more and more problems arise, in the late 80s many scholars have also been criticized and questioned for Discipline-based art education theory, and in the 90's have a new development. In view of the theory, some of the art educational philosophy has been applied to our new arts curriculum standards ,and this paper is to domestic research on the theory on the basis of our understanding, and to understand the background of its formation, in the implementation of the teaching process as well as its impact and drawbacks, with a view to China's art education theory and teaching art to provide some theoretical information, learn from and support.
